DRIVE YOUR FUTURE
The OT Engineer is responsible for the availability, safety, security, and lifecycle management of operational technology (OT) systems supporting industrial and production operations. The role ensures that OT assets operate reliably and securely, in compliance with applicable safety and cybersecurity standards. It also supports the design and implementation of secure interfaces between OT, IT, and business systems, balancing operational continuity with risk management.
YOUR CORE ACTIVITIES
- Manage and maintain OT devices, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA, HMI, sensors, and actuators
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of OT systems supporting production
- Maintain accurate OT asset inventory, configurations, and technical documentation
- Plan and execute firmware updates, system backups, and recovery procedures
- Support OT risk assessments, incident response, and internal/external audits
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to implement upgrades with minimal production disruption
- Ensure compliance with applicable industrial safety and cybersecurity standards
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): OT system availability, uptime, and incident reduction, compliance with safety and cybersecurity requirements, accuracy, completeness, and maintenance of OT documentation, effectiveness of incident response and recovery time
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Solid understanding of OT architectures and industrial control systems
- Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profinet, OPC)
- Awareness of OT cybersecurity principles and risk-based approaches
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams
WHAT PUTS YOU IN POLE POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial IT, or a related field
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience managing production-critical OT systems
