Pirelli is looking for a qualified/experienced Property Risk Engineer to join its reinsurance team. After an initial training period in our HQ in Milan (6-12 months), the resource will have the opportunity to join the reinsurance team based in Basel (Switzerland).


Key Accountabilities
• Conducting onsite visits to assess property loss control and Nat Cat exposures in the Pirelli factories
• Develop detailed reports to relay conditions and provide recommendations for improvement
• Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards
• Building relationship with key insurance/reinsurance carriers
• Evaluate Captive risk line/portfolio exposure and risk optimization instruments
• Handle claims

 

Skills & Competencies

• Master’s degree in engineering (preferred mechanical or electrical)
• 2-3 years of experience in Risk Consulting
• Strong working knowledge of fire protection and of insurance issues
• Knowledge of FM Global or NFPA standards
• Knowledge about mechanical and electrical equipment (mainly, boilers, compressors, gearboxes, electric motors, switchgears, transformers)
• Knowledge of maintenance of electrical equipment (NDT, infrared scanning, vibration monitoring)
• Ability to consult effectively on a broad range of tire manufacturing risk controls, and the ability to identify exposures/assess complex risks
• Good knowledge of excel 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English
• Willingness to learn, Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work in a team
