It is among the world’s major producers of tyres and associated services and the only one focused solely on the Consumer tyre market, which includes tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. 

 

The candidate, reporting to the Motorsport department responsible for overseeing the development of street legal products, will assume a crucial role in pushing product development forward, ensuring the attainment of performance targets and maintaining rigorous quality standards. With a focus on precision and excellence, he/she will collaborate closely with the local factory teams and headquarters groups, utilizing his/her expertise in virtual design, simulation, and materials development to advance Pirelli’s products to new heights.

 

Specifically, the candidate will be involved in the following activities:


•Follow product development across all phases to attain the specified performance targets, encompassing the definition of product and process specifications;
•Offer support to local factory teams throughout the entirety of the development process;
•Collaborate with respective headquarters groups to conduct virtual design and simulation activities;
•Direct product design efforts, including tooling of production and establishment of production guidelines;
•Provide assistance in the development of new materials, contributing to the enhancement of product performance and quality;
•Conduct comprehensive product validation through indoor and outdoor testing procedures, ensuring compliance with legal product certification requirements;
•Perform thorough analysis and elaboration of results obtained from testing activities, deriving actionable insights to inform further product development initiatives;
•Oversee the product industrialization process, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and facilitating the transition to full-scale production.

 

Requirements
•Master’s Degree in Industrial/ Mechanical/ Aeronautica/Aerospace Engineering or related fields.
•3-5 years of experience in Industrial automotive company.
•Preferred knowledge of vehicle dynamics.
•Proficient knowledge of Design Suite (only if with previous experience within the company), Matlab, Autocad. 
•Fluency in English and Italian.
•Availability to travel to plants and/or clients with potential impact on weekends.
