Junior Tyre Research and Modeling (FEA) Engineer

There is an opportunity to join Pirelli modeling team to enforce FEA experts to work on a variety of tyre performances (like rolling resistance, wear, NVH, durability, force and moments) and contribute to the development of simulation and analysis tools to support product development.

 

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in the same role
  • Master degree Mechanical/ Aeronautical / Civil Engineering
  • Background in finite elements techniques (implicit & explicit, preferably Abaqus)
  • Background in programming languages like Python & Matlab for automation of pre and post-processing tools.
  • Interest in one of the following area is preferred:
  • Contact mechanics
  • Tyre Mechanics/technology

 

Key skills required

  • Open-minded and able to work in Team both in function and other company functions
  • Be highly self-motivated, ready to work strict deadlines and have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Communication and reporting skills, good ability to think critically and synthetize information
  • Excellent English language written and spoken, knowledge of Italian would be beneficial
