Main Activities

The candidate will join the Research and Development Technology Engineering team at Pirelli headquarter. He/She will be involved as Measuring instruments Specialist in selecting, testing and validating measuring instruments to be installed on the machinery for all the Pirelli factories in the world. 


Core Responsibilities

 

•    Collects and evaluates needs of internal stakeholders.
•    Identifies suitable equipment/devices from the market and/or supports internal developments.
•    Tests the measuring instruments in term of performance and reliability and analyze the results.
•    Writes up findings for others to evaluate.
•    For special applications, carries out trainings on site and writes training manuals that workers can use for reference.
•    Defines data structures and interfaces with M.E.S. and upper layers.
•    Supports the development of new functionalities for process/product traceability.
•    Technical scouting and deployment of emerging technologies applicable to machinery for tyre production processes.
•    Offers technical support during installation, commissioning, start-up and following lifecycle phases in all the Pirelli factories worldwide.
•    Supports the Digital transformation of the Company.


Requirements
 
•    Master Degree in Electronics Engineering or Automation Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
•    Knowledge of statistics
•    Knowledge of industrial automation is an advantage
•    Knowledge of data analysis and DB management tools (query, script, etc.) is an advantage
•    Knowledge of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis is an advantage
•    Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (M.S.A.) is an advantage
•    Knowledge of C#, VB, Python is an advantage
•    Ability to work in international teams
•    Ability to work independently
•    Critical thinking
•    Good problem solving skills
•    Interest in innovation 
•    Travelling flexibility (international and domestic)
•    Fluency in English.
