Internship Details


The candidate will work within the R&D department and will handle the following activities:


  • Process development in close collaboration with the material formulation, process/machinery and product development teams.
  • Process improvement and innovation
  • Laboratory know-how studies on the chemical and rheological aspects of the process
  • Calculation, analysis and simulation
  • Technical support to the Operating Units on the activities related to the process (industrialization, quality, efficiency, transfer and problem solving)
  • Short trips to the Italian and foreign Operating Units for education and know-how transfer activities
  • Periodic data management and presentation to colleagues and superiors of progress in their research
  • Interaction with other functions on common projects
  • Preparation of technical documentation and activity reports



  • English: fluent. Additional language: appreciated
  • Knowledge of the chemistry and rheology of elastomeric materials
  • Basic knowledge of the tools of the OFFICE package
  • Basic knowledge of programming, preferably VBA, Matlab and Python
  • Knowledge of laboratory methods and techniques useful for the characterization of elastomeric materials




Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Process or Materials Engineering; Physics degree or equivalent qualifications.
