Main Activities

During the internship period, the Process Data Scientist will collaborate with the rest of the Mixing group in the development and validation of analysis and prediction models related to the process and to the final properties of the compound. In particular, it will use data from factory processes, applying advanced machine learning techniques to verify and improve algorithms aimed at representing anomalies. It will also contribute to the development of R&D applications for the detailed analysis of the mixing process.

• Identify the databases from which to extract the information relevant to the development of machine learning models
• Explore new connections in existing data using unsupervised learning techniques
• Optimize supervised machine learning algorithms for the prediction of final properties (anomaly removal, feature engineering)
• Develop best practices for data analysis and processing with reporting production
• Deploy tools in a production environment (machine learning models, control dashboards, reporting)


For this position the following is required:

• In-depth knowledge of data analytics and data science techniques
• Knowledge of the main machine learning algorithms: (GLM / Regression, Random Forest, Decision Trees, ...)
• In-depth knowledge of the Python programming language
• Knowledge and optimization of SQL / NoSQL database queries


Educational level:


• Completed or nearing degree course in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Data Science / Statistics
• Ease of interpersonal relationship
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to focus on defined priorities
• Synthesis and communication skills
