The candidate will be hired as first class researcher inside Material Laboratory - Development methodologies function and will have the following tasks:
•To define and carry out chemical analysis of various samples from around the company, structural determination and quantification of components and preparation of reports about said samples. The development of new lab procedures or methodologies is an essential part of the job.
•To participate to internal R&D projects also as project team member or leader. 
•To promote cooperation with University for the finding of new advanced chemical methodologies for the characterization of the materials. 
•To consolidate such activities through data collection, analysis and regular reporting and presentations prepared for colleagues and line managers.
•To establish and maintain good relations with colleagues from other Central functions, especially with R&D Materials (mainly Compounding and new raw materials teams).
•To participate to international congress, training sessions & courses.

 

Requirements
•Degree in chemistry with a deep knowledge of the Material Science techniques and methodologies. A PhD is welcome.
•Knowledge and experience in the chemical and structural characterization of materials, in particular of polymeric systems. The techniques involved include NMR, HPLC, LC/MS, GC/MS and others. Welcome the skills related to reactivity in rubber or polymeric systems.
•Ability to work in the laboratory and in sharing with others.
•Very good English knowledge (written / oral).
•Skills of programming (e.g. Python) are welcome even though not strictly mandatory.
•High level of adaptability and capacity to deal with multiple tasks inside a scenario of high level of technical and strategic complexity.
•Good communication skills and strong multicultural orientation.
