Involved in motorsport since 1907, Pirelli has been the exclusive official tyre partner of the Formula 1™ World Championship since 2011 and has just renewed the agreement until 2023.
Main activities
Pirelli Group M&A is instrumental to achieve the strategic targets of the group and to cope with a dynamic environment that is currently experiencing a transition towards the electric and autonomous vehicles. The M&A Specialist, within the M&A function, will support the team in the following activities:

- Origination, analysis, structuring and execution of extraordinary transactions such as acquisitions/disposals of companies, businesses, strategic assets and establishment of joint-ventures of the group
- Research and analysis of specific company profiles
- Valuation of potential M&A target companies/assets
- Cooperation with the Legal Department and coordination of other Departments and consultants in the context of extraordinary transactions
- Financial Due Diligence analysis and set-up of Virtual Data Rooms
- Support in the post-closing phase in order to identify and solve possible issues after deal closing
- Manage the existing equity holdings portfolio
- Carry out financial intelligence & benchmarking analysis
- Impairment test on the Pirelli subsidiaries

Skills and Minimum requirements
- Strong academic background in the fields of Finance, Business, Economics
- 5-7 years’ experience in an investment bank, financial boutique, large listed corporation or big4 with good knowledge of M&A activity and ability to apply your skills creatively. Exposure to Automotive, auto & parts, related technology sector is considered a plus
- Strong knowledge of financial statements analysis, financial modelling and sensitivity analysis with ability to challenge key assumptions and valuation drivers
- Excellent analytical skills with conceptual thinking
- Ability to communicate effectively with a result oriented mindset and delivering presentations in a senior executive setting
- Flexibility to work under pressure in a very unpredictable and demanding environment
- Fluent Italian and English. Other language is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite/Bloomberg/Capital IQ
