Involved in motorsport since 1907, Pirelli has been the exclusive official tyre partner of the Formula 1™ World Championship since 2011 and has just renewed the agreement until 2023.


Pirelli is looking for a Buyer - IT&Digital who will support the development of the purchasing strategy of the Digital & ICT category through an optimal management of demand, internal stakeholders and the supplier portfolio, ensuring the achievement of the objectives of the category.


Main activities:


• Support the internal functions, in particular the Digital & IT function, in defining the purchasing activities and their implementation, in line with the strategic priorities of the functions;
• Manage any supply issue involving, on a case-by-case basis, the most suitable internal counterpart;
• Ensure a fluent and effective commercial relationship with suppliers in order to guarantee the quality of the services offered and the reduction of costs through a med-long term partnership;
• Manage effectively and efficiently the purchasing process by defining the commercial strategy (tenders, negotiations, benchmarks, renewals) and its implementation;
• Explore on a continuous base the reference market in order to identify new potential partners and new supply methods that can support the company in the digital transformation process;
• Ensure the best contractual formula for the company and take care of the drafting of contracts with suppliers in collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department;
• Ensure compliance with company process and procedures for procuring goods and services;
• Collaborate constantly and proactively with the controlling function to ensure an effective planning and a correct representation of the results of the purchasing process.


Requirements:


• Degree in Engineering or Economics;
• Work experience of at least 3 years in the procurement of services, preferably in a structured reality;
• Strong orientation to new technologies and new commercial proposals;
• Excellent knowledge of the MS Office package;
• Good knowledge of SAP;
• Knowledge of the Synertrade tool will be considered a plus;
• Fluent in English


The person must have excellent negotiation skills, ability to manage the drafting of orders and contracts, a strong aptitude for teamwork, strong interpersonal skills
