Job Scope

An integral part of our OE (Original Equipment)  Sales team, the OE Planner will play a pivotal role in helping to ensure that key commercial indicators are met. These include stock availability, accurate forecasting, logistics management, customer satisfaction and management plan volume targets

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Working as part of a small but busy OE department, key responsibilities include:

 

  • Interpreting and understanding customer demand.
  • Understanding volume requirements and ensuring tyre production meets customer needs aligned to the customer schedule.
  • Interpreting customer scheduled demand, managing stock levels and communicating with Milan HQ to manage the continuity of supply.
  • Working within the team to facilitate deliveries including meeting scheduled customer requirement, delivery slot management and coordinating third party logistics suppliers
  • Monitoring stock availability and taking corrective actions where necessary
  • Managing 3PL portals, delivery status and delivery schedules
  • Supporting the Senior OE Controller
  • Maintaining strong relationships between UK and Head Office functions, ensuring coordination and implementation of group strategy

 

Required Qualifications and Aptitudes

 

Education

  • Good level of general education

 

Experience

  • Sound understanding of the logistics process
  • Commercial awareness
  • Customer facing experience
  • Logistics administration awareness  and logistics planning experience preferred
  • Able to demonstrate solid administration experience

 

Skills

  • Excellent analytical  skills (understanding and interpreting information/ data extraction and manipulation)
  • Ability to multi-task whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to work and able to work within a pressurised environment, adaptable to change
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload, and be self-motivated to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Excellent  communication skills, able to influence and persuade others
  • Confident in approach, and able to build and maintain strong relationships
  • The use of IT is integral to the role.  Excel skills required to include V Look Ups, Pivot tables etc so advanced Excel is essential
  • Able to pick up and learn processes very quickly
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a very small team
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required

 

Experience of SAP is very desirable, although training will be given 

 

Salary for this role will be £35k - £37k, depending upon qualification, skills and experience.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.  We have a Smart working policy (hybrid working; 3 days in the office and 2 days at home), although any new starters to the business will be required to be in the office on a full-time basis initially.
