A 12-month placement is available within the Logistics Department working within a dynamic and professional team that aims to deliver tyres to our customers as effectively and efficiently as possible.

 

Main duties include:

  • Providing administrative support for the entire UK Logistics operation, taking ownership of, and understanding where all costs are incurred within the operation, dealing with suppliers and accurately raising purchase orders for all aspects of warehousing, distribution and transportation.  This is a core, business-critical part of the role.
  • Working with the Logistics Business Partner to provide support in monitoring costs and assisting with projects aimed at delivering cost efficiency to the business.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for issuance into the wider business.  Stock levels, third party provider performance, deliveries vs target etc.
  • Liaise with our Marketing & Commercial departments to monitor customers’ distribution service level over the entire UK territory reporting where necessary into our Italian HQ.
  • Liaise with our Italian HQ, together with international transport suppliers, to assist the Export process to other countries around the world, CMRs and Logistics KPIs.
  • Assisting where necessary in the audit of the Finished Goods Warehouses twice yearly in Burton and Carlisle.
  • Liaise with our Finance department to monitor & ensure accuracy of accounting of purchase orders and to assist the Management Accountant responsible with queries.
  • Assist with wider projects & problem solving within the operational team, providing ad-hoc assistance when required up to director level.

 

Our requirements:

  • Studying for a business-related degree
  • Good organisational, analytical, team working and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Ability to work independently using initiative in a fast-paced pressurised and target driven, environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power Point essential
  • A full clean driving licence is desirable
